Blurb Blog Books/Scrapbook Coupon Code

Update: This code is actually if you order two or more books.

For those of you who make blog books, you have until Tuesday (Jan 31) to create a book on Blub and get 20% off using code NY2012. For those of you not familiar with blurb, check out this earlier post. I actually have started doing a blog/scrapbook. I post all the info from my family blog into a book but do my own design instead of using one of Blurb's templates. I've done at least five books with Blurb and the quality is fantastic and the program is easy to use.

  1. How do you do your own template? I've wanted to do a book for years, but every time I look I don't like their templates.

  2. I make it in my design program (Memory Mixer) and just choose the whole page photo template in blurb's software and insert the jpg I created in MM.

  3. I blog as a way of journaling. I have yet to blurb my blog to a book though because every time I upload my blog to blurb, it gets so out of order. It is a daunting task. My question is, is there a way/method to blog that will make it easier when you go to blurb my blog to a book? Any suggestions??

P.S. I have Memory Mixer. My husband bought it for my birthday in 2008, but I have no idea how to use it. How do you make your pages in Memory Mixer? Do you just copy and paste your text from your blog??

  4. Annie,

In Blurb's software, BookSmart, it give you an option when you are "slurping" the info to have it automatically fill the pages or let you manually do it. If you manually do it, you can quicky put the book together by dragging and dropping. I am guessing you had it do an autofill and it confused the pictures and text.

Yes, I just copy and past the info into Memory Mixer and then add some cute digi paper and embellishments to make the pages more stylish than the templates Blurb offers.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

  5. I will give it a shot. I haven't even entertained the thought of blurbing my blog to a book for over a year (probably because I'm so behind on my blog, ugh.) Thanks for your help. I might have to contact you again...hope you don't mind :)

  6. This is a sensitive issue but knowing the openness of the readers not the racist kinds will fully understand what other religion or spirituality a person is it is acceptable to discuss the issue.
