Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Few things in life taste better than freshly baked chocolate chips cookies with a tall glass of milk. Do you agree? I’ve tested many chocolate chip cookie recipes and still haven’t found the perfect one, but this one comes pretty close. I like my cookies nice and flat and soft and chewy and this recipe hits all of my requirements (as long as I remember to set the timer and don’t over bake them!). Enjoy!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wet ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

¾ cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

Dry ingredients

2 cups flour

2 ½ cups quick oats

1 tsp baking powders

1 tsp baking soda

1-2 cups chocolate chips (depending on how chocolaty you like them)

Cream the wet ingredients together and then mix in the dry ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Note: You can grind the oats, if you wish.

  1. YUM. I have been craving these lately! I'm so glad you posted this...I need some quick oats...

  2. This is my favorite dessert of all times...any left over for the sisters you visit teach--just kidding. I have had way too much fun with food lately and am cutting back!

  3. Welcome back to blog world. I like how you put your blog address on your pictures how did you do that? I am very interested. Hope you have time to help me out and reply. Staci at designingmotherhood@hotmail.com

  4. These are my favorite too! I have the same recipe with the exception that I always double it and use equal brown and white sugar. So good! I'm whipping up a batch right now. Also,I make balls out of all my dough and freeze in batches of 20 in ziplock baggies. I have a large cookie sheet that fits 20. So I just grab a bag and bake when needed!

  5. I used your recipe and they were a big hit! My brother-in-law couldn't get enough :)
