Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Few things in life taste better than freshly baked chocolate chips cookies with a tall glass of milk. Do you agree? I’ve tested many chocolate chip cookie recipes and still haven’t found the perfect one, but this one comes pretty close. I like my cookies nice and flat and soft and chewy and this recipe hits all of my requirements (as long as I remember to set the timer and don’t over bake them!). Enjoy!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wet ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

¾ cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

Dry ingredients

2 cups flour

2 ½ cups quick oats

1 tsp baking powders

1 tsp baking soda

1-2 cups chocolate chips (depending on how chocolaty you like them)

Cream the wet ingredients together and then mix in the dry ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Note: You can grind the oats, if you wish.

  4. These are my favorite too! I have the same recipe with the exception that I always double it and use equal brown and white sugar. So good! I'm whipping up a batch right now. Also,I make balls out of all my dough and freeze in batches of 20 in ziplock baggies. I have a large cookie sheet that fits 20. So I just grab a bag and bake when needed!
