Chocolate Peanut Butter Fondue

Fondue has to be one of the most romantic foods. I absolutely love it! For our anniversary this past year, my husband took me to the Melting Pot. I had never been there, but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The chocolate fondue was my favorite of the whole meal. Everything tastes better covered with chocolate, in my opinion.

I was given this recipe a couple years ago, I believe by my mom, and I love it. It is delicious and only takes 5 minutes to make. This would be a great dessert to enjoy with your loved one on Valentine’s evening.

Create your own fondue & dipping items like these that we enjoyed at the Melting Pot.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fondue

4 squares of unsweetened baking chocolate (4 oz)

1 cup cream (light or heavy, either will work)

1 cup sugar

¼ cup creamy peanut butter (you can add a bit more if you really like pb)

1 tsp vanilla

Combine the chocolate and cream in sauce pan or if you have an electric fondue pot you can make it right in there. My fondue pan just warms by a small candle, so I have to make in a sauce pan first. Heat until chocolate melts and then gradually add the sugar and peanut butter. Stir until thickened. Then stir in vanilla. Put in your fondue pot to keep warm.

Dip bananas, strawberries, pineapple, angel food cake, cheese cake, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, and/or pretzels into the fondue. Enjoy!

  1. Does your husband know how lucky he is? My husband looked over my shoulder as I was reading this and pointed not only to the fondue, but the 2 books you have listed as well (Dr. Laura and Love Languages).
